Lead a school cleanup!

Shoreline Cleanups make learning fun. Suitable for all age levels and a great leadership opportunity. Become stewards of your schoolyard or local water body.

Select a date and location to lead a cleanup with your school or campus. During your cleanup, students become citizen scientists and track the kinds of litter they find, all while being outside and protecting wildlife! Online resources are provided to walk you through all the steps, before, during and even after your cleanup.

Free curriculum-linked lesson plans are also available for elementary teachers.

I want to lead a school cleanup

Site Coordinators need to be 19+.

Under 19? You can still be a cleanup hero. You'll just need a responsible adult to register the cleanup and attend with you on the day.

I am a dedicated conservationist, and as a teacher I want to inspire and motivate my students to become lifelong environmental stewards. The best way to do this is to lead by example.
