We’re celebrating International Coastal Cleanup with a shoreline cleanup and celebration at Iona Beach Park. Join hosts Vancouver International Airport and the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup for this family-friendly event and make a positive difference to the health of our oceans. A few reminders for the event: Our co-hosts YVR have an amazing major prize - volunteers can enter for a chance to win two free flights to any Canadian destination direct from YVR, courtesy of Air Canada! Our cleanup happens rain or shine. Dress for the weather, including wearing closed toe shoes and bringing your rain gear. Bring your reusable coffee mug and water bottle. We will have free coffee and hot chocolate to warm you up! We also have free lunch at the end of the event. All cleanup supplies are provided, but if you have reusable gloves, bring them along to further reduce waste. Feel free to bring your family and friends! They will be able to register in person at the event. . . 09:30 Registration opens . . 10:00 Traditional welcome and cleanup begins! . . 12:00 Closing speech and prize draw . . 12:15 Free lunch . . 13:00 Event ends Free shuttle buses will be running all day between Templeton Skytrain Station and Iona Beach. IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THIS ASSUMPTION, RELEASE, AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY (THE “AGREEMENT”) CAREFULLY. IT OUTLINES CERTAIN DETAILS REGARDING YOUR PARTICIPATION IN OCEAN WISE AND WORLD WILDLIFE FUND CANADA’S GREAT CANADIAN SHORELINE CLEANUP. THIS AGREEMENT INCLUDES AN ASSUMPTION OF LIABILITY BY YOU (THE “PARTICIPANT”) AND A RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY IN FAVOUR OF OCEAN WISE AND WORLD WILDLIFE FUND CANADA (THE “PARTNERS”), AND ITS OFFICERS, PARTNERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, SPONSORS, SERVANTS, AGENTS, VOLUNTEERS, REPRESENTATIVES, AGENTS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS (THE “AGENTS”). IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM, THE PARTICIPANT MUST AGREE TO AND ABIDE BY THE CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT. BY SIGNING BELOW, THE PARTICIPANT INDICATES THAT HE/SHE UNDERSTANDS, ACKNOWLEDGES AND FREELY ACCEPTS THE TERMS OF THE AGREEMENT SET FORTH HEREIN.
In consideration for the opportunity to participate in the Program and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the Participant on his/her own behalf and on behalf of his/her heirs, administrators, successors, assigns, insurers, estate and anyone else who may make any claim for or on their behalf, hereby irrevocably and unconditionally states and agrees as follows:
I have read this Agreement and understand that it contains a promise not to sue the Partners or the Agents and that it constitutes a release of liability and an indemnity for all claims. If the Participant is under the age of nineteen, I confirm that I am his or her parent or guardian and that I have executed the Agreement on behalf of the Participant.
This Agreement will be binding on myself or my child or ward, as the case may be, and our respective representatives, heirs and assigns.
