We’re celebrating International Coastal Cleanup with a shoreline cleanup and celebration at Iona Beach Park. Join hosts, Vancouver International Airport and the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, for this family-friendly event and make a positive difference to the health of our oceans. A few tips for maximum fun at the event: Our cleanup happens rain or shine. Dress for the weather, including wearing closed toe shoes and bringing your rain gear. Bring your reusable coffee mug and water bottle. All cleanup supplies are provided, but if you have reusable gloves, bring them along to further reduce waste. Feel free to bring your family and friends! They will be able to register in person at the event. - - SCHEDULE: 09:30 Registration opens . . 10:00 Welcome and cleanup begins! . . 12:00 Closing speech and prize draw . . 12:15 Free lunch . . 13:00 Event ends. - - Free shuttle buses will be running all day between Templeton Skytrain Station and Iona Beach.
