Ontario Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup Curriculum Guide (K-8)
Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup Curriculum Guide
Ontario (K-8), Second Edition
Dear Educator,
The Shoreline Cleanup is also a great way for you to connect your students with a positive experience that builds environmental stewardship. With support from our sponsors, we developed this K-8 curriculum guide to help you integrate the Shoreline Cleanup into your school year, using both indoor and outdoor lessons for your students. The guide is divided into two main units: K-3 and 4-8. Each unit contains lesson plans and links to the Ontario Curriculum.
The cross-curricular activities in this guide will have your students making art projects, reading stories, running through obstacle courses, solving math problems, exploring biology and doing what they probably do best - having fun! We hope you are inspired to bring the Shoreline Cleanup into your students’ lives!
Sincerely,
Jill Dwyer Jonathan Hultquist
Manager, Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup Manager, Curriculum Programs
